The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone will have a built-in crypto wallet

South Korean technology giant Samsung introduced a new flagship smartphone with wide functionalitysupport for cryptocurrencies. The presentation took place in the metaverse.

At the Unpacked 2022 virtual event,hosted on Feb. 9 to unveil the new Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone, the tech giant revealed that Samsung now has its own wallet. As the manufacturer explained, the wallet was designed to provide users with access to a "complex of digital products", including cryptocurrencies.

In addition, Samsung stressed that it has givenincreased attention to privacy and secure storage of personal information. The wallet is also a secure vault where users can store a variety of identification data such as driver's licenses, student ID cards, ID cards, digital house or car keys, bank credit or debit cards, passes, and even coronavirus vaccination certificates.

The wallet will work on its own paymentthe company's platform, Samsung Pay. Security will be provided by Samsung's Knox Vault platform, which encrypts confidential information, personal data and blockchain keys and stores them separately from the phone's main operating system.
