The trading platform has changed its name to OKX to be more in line with its ecosystem.
CryptocurrencyOKEx has announced a name change to OKX.The company explained that they decided to get rid of the combination of the letters “Ex”, which denoted the exchange (from the English exchange), as the platform went beyond the usual platform for the exchange of assets.

According to the statement, the platform is developing newproducts for global promotion of cryptocurrencies. Among those already launched: non-custodial wallet MetaX, NFT marketplace and decentralized exchange OEC. The company is also looking at opportunities in the metaverse and GameFi areas.
“We are building much more than a centralized exchange. Now is the time to evolve our brand to reflect what we stand for and strive for,” the exchange said.
OKX (formerly OKEx) is one of the largestcryptocurrency exchange, which was founded in Hong Kong in 2016. In 2018, the platform moved to Malta due to the introduction of severe restrictions on cryptocurrencies in China.
