In terms of recovery presented byMt.Gox trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi at a planned meeting with creditors on March 25, it was planned to sell part of the restored cryptocurrencies in order to resolve claims for payments in fiat currency.

Despite the fact that lenders want to getcompensation in bitcoins, funds in the military-technical cooperation may not be enough to resolve all claims. Since the trustee ruled out the possibility of additional purchases of bitcoins, some lenders will receive part of the refunds in fiat.

However, most lenders did not approve the plan.

“Most of them want to stay onthe bitcoin market, therefore, the sale of coins and payment in fiat not only bind them to the price at the time of sale, not taking into account the potential for price growth, but can also lead to a collapse in the market, as in 2018, ”said the managing director of Iverson Capital, which bought part of the creditors' claims, Alex Ortega.

As a result, the Tokyo court extended the deadline for submitting a rehabilitation plan until July 1.

Previously, the court has already extended the period for consideration of Mt.Gox creditor applications.
