The "diamond formation" is another relativelya rare model that forms at the top of the market. A feature of this configuration is that it combines two different models of a triangle - expanding and symmetrical. The dynamics of volume generally corresponds to the price: in the first half of the formation, the volume increases, and then, as the price fluctuations in the second half decrease, it decreases. Trend lines that first diverge and then converge form a graphic pattern resembling a diamond. Hence the name of the model. This is a relatively rare model; Basically, it occurs when the market reaches its peaks. More often than not, it is a model for breaking a trend, and only occasionally a model for continuing a trend. The diamond model ends with a breakthrough of the upward trend line in the second half of the formation, and usually an increase in trading activity occurs.
