The head of the State Duma Financial Market Committee said that as soon as the legal conditions forconducting cross-border payments in digital currencies, the country's largest platforms will immediately start working.
The largest Russian exchanges are ready to beginwork with cryptocurrencies if legal conditions are created for international crypto-payments, said Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, in an interview with Parliamentary Newspaper.
According to Aksakov, Moscow Exchange, St. Petersburgexchange" and "St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange", are actively working to develop this market and are ready to immediately join the process, since the infrastructure is already ready. The bills are being discussed, and according to Aksakov, they can be adopted as early as November.
September 13 Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustininstructed the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Russia, Rosfinmonitoring, the Federal Tax Service and the FSB to develop by December 19 an agreed position on draft federal laws regulating the issuance, organization of issuance and circulation of digital currency in Russia, mining, as well as the use of digital currencies in international settlements.
