Ripple co-founder sold 54 million XRP in April

Ripple co-founder Jed McCaleb sold more than 54 million XRP in April.He still has billions in his accountscoins for sale. This is reported by TheCryptoAssociate.

According to data from McCaleb’s famous wallets,Ripple's former technical director sold XRP in equal portions between April 1 and 30. In just a month, he liquidated 54,215,405 XRPs ($ 11.5 million at the time of writing).

McCaleb is one of the largest holdersXRP. In 2012, he received 9.5 billion coins, and later announced his intention to sell them. This caused a 40% drop in the market value of XRP. Ripple entered into an agreement with him for 7 years, according to which McCaleb can sell his coins in limited quantities.

According to Whale Alert, McCaleb sold over 1 billion XRP between 2014 and 2019.

Earlier, McCaleb received a tranche in the amount of XRP 63.7 million from Ripple. The payment was made as part of an agreement between the company and the former co-founder.
