Over the year, the use of cryptocurrency in Turkey has grown 11 times

According to the results of a new survey of the Turkish crypto exchange Paribu, over the past year the user base of cryptocurrencies in Turkey has grown by more than11 times

"Research of awareness and perceptioncryptocurrency until 2021 ”, conducted by Akademetre Research, set itself the goal of studying the relationship of Turkish citizens to bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies. The first such study was carried out in 2020.

This year there has been a significant jump inusing the cryptocurrency. 7.7% of about 1400 resident respondents stated that they trade in bitcoins and altcoins, which means an 11-fold increase in the number of people who use the pot.

According to the survey, 11% of the surveyors with knowledgecryptocurrencies have become active users of digital assets. Paribu, being the largest cryptocurrency in the country, marked the post of the user. Over the year, their number has grown from 600,000 to more than 4 million.

High income (60%) and amusement (З7%)are the main factors of using cryptocurrencies. Almost every fourth resident used a cryptocurrency, because it is technical. Interestingly, 80% of those who are familiar with the cryptocurrency have never heard of blockchain.

Commenting on the results, General Director of Paribu Yasin Opal said that the dynamics of the price on the market and the marketing activity of the birges in Turkey played a huge poem.

At the same time, many industry experts tend to believe that this activity is explained by high inflation in the country. In this case, bitcoin brightly shows its properties as a means of saving.
