OpenSea reported a leak of users' email addresses

Platform for trading collectible tokens (NFT) OpenSea reported a leak of user email addresses and warned of the possibility of phishing.

According to the company, illegal access toAn employee of the Customer.io service received confidential data from OpenSea customers. Using his work access, he "downloaded and shared email addresses provided by OpenSea subscribers and users." 

It is not yet known to whom exactly they were transferreddata. However, representatives of the site emphasized that users need to be careful - phishing attacks are very likely to gain access to user accounts. At the same time, all users who provided their email address were at risk.

In their article on the company's blog, OpenSea representatives noted that they are helping the Customer.io service conduct an internal investigation. Law enforcement authorities were also notified about the incident.

It was previously reported that the OpenSea platform is going to significantly strengthen measures to protect users from various scammers and plagiarists.
