Ricardo Salinas Pliego – Mexican businessman who ranks 166th richest personplanets – wants to introduce Bitcoin into the country's banking system.
Banco Azteca, which is operated by one of the Salinas groups, will be the first financial institution to use bitcoin to process payments in the banking sector.
In an interview, the billionaire said he wants to make his bank the first financial institution in Mexico to accept bitcoin.
He added that he considers fiat to be a scam and that every investor should buy bitcoin, not "government-backed money printed on paper."
