Leading exchanges support LUNA airdrop

The largest cryptocurrency exchanges have supported the idea of distributing new LUNA tokens, which will take place on May 27.The project leaders and its fans were especially pleased with the participation in the LUNA airdrop of the industry leader, the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

In addition to Binance, the distribution of tokens to the public will be supported by such bison as Bitfinex, Bybit, Kucoin, FTX, Huobi and Bitrue, project founder Do Kwon tweeted.

The collapse of the Terra ecosystem notably ruffled the nerves of cryptos and dropped the entire market, and this is not surprising, because the cryptocurrency from the top 10 went to zero in just a few days.

Do Kwon proposed a plan ten days agobringing Terra back to life through a hard fork and redistribution of tokens. However, under the influence of the community, in the end, another decision was made (“proposal 1623”), which consists in launching a new Terra 2.0 blockchain from scratch and distributing new LUNA tokens.

The new Terra 2 token will be named LUNA, while the existing one will be renamed LUNA Classic.

The participants in the distribution of the new token will be four groups of investors who will receive new tokens in the following proportions:

  • LUNA, which were received before the attack - 1:1.1;
  • LUNA received after the attack - 1: 0.000015;
  • UST received before decoupling from the dollar — 1:0.033;
  • UST bought after the unpin is 1:0.013.

The “after attack” snapshot of the blockchain will be taken on May 27 at block 7790000. The “before attack” snapshot was taken on May 7.

On May 27, users will receive only 30% of the planned distribution. The remaining 70% will be distributed over 2 years after a 6 month break.
