Historically, crime has always been the first to apply new technologies, and the authorities are constantly lagging behind. But they had to catch up, which led to the introduction of innovations, said McAfee.

«Faster getaway cars in the 1930s, phones to coordinate crimes. The authorities were always late. Now they [criminals] have asserted the power of privacy. Thank God»,— the entrepreneur wrote.

He added that government agencies are falling behind in adopting new things due to bureaucracy, which he called "slow, cumbersome, rigid and all-encompassing."

However, in some cases, governmentsusing power, “slowed down the pace of social progress to their level of incompetence” in order to keep up, the potential US presidential candidate emphasized.

Let us recall that the famous crypto enthusiast McAfee previouslysaid that Bitcoin will become the «gold standard». He predicted that the coin would reach the $1 million mark by the end of 2020 and even promised to eat his penis if this did not happen. He recently backed out of the bet, calling it a joke.

McAfee later called the first cryptocurrency a «true shitcoin» and stated that the future belongs to altcoins.
