IOTA developers froze the network due to numerous theft of tokens from Trinity wallets

The non-profit organization IOTA Foundation announced the suspension of the network to prevent further thefts of funds from Trinity crypto wallets.

The developers have disabled the coordination node,Provides final confirmation of related IOTA transactions. According to the team, the reason was a statement by a dozen users about the loss of tokens from their wallets in the amount of up to $ 1.2 million.

Not only ordinary users, but also the developers themselves suffer from attackers. For example, two months ago a hacker robbed the VeChain Foundation’s crypto wallet for $6.6 million.
