Ethereum Foundation Reveals New Details of Ethereum Merger Testing

One of the Ethereum developers announced the latest preparations for the network’s transition to proof of ownership PoS. Against the backdrop of this news, the airwaves increased by 14%.
Puncture Support EngineerEthereum Foundation's Tim Beiko revealed the latest details on Twitter regarding preparations for the final testing phase of the Ethereum merger with test blockchains.

According to Beiko, the last transition to the testThe Proof-of-Stake network will take place on the Goerli testnet, the closest simulation of the main blockchain. The Goerli Beacon Chain version is called Prater and will be merged into the testnet between August 6th and 12th in an update called Paris.

The developer added that before thishappens, a pre-upgrade called Bellatrix needs to be done to prepare Prater for the merger with Goerl. Beiko noted that after several shadow forks and mergers in legacy testnets, there remains one more testnet that needs to be changed.

Node operators will need to simultaneouslyupdate both your consensus-level clients and your execution-level clients. Ether holders and stakers do not need to take any action as the changes only affect node operators and testnet participants.

Merging blockchains, likebefore, scheduled for September 19. However, it may be delayed if there are problems with the Goerli testing phase. In July, the ninth shadow fork was launched to test the Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) enhancement feature.

The merger was described as the largestEthereum upgrade since its inception in 2015. However, the transition to Proof-of-Stake should have happened several years ago, and repeated delays have periodically frustrated users and investors.

Against the backdrop of positive news from the developersEthereum showed growth, reaching $1,633. Recently, the founder of Bits.media, Ivan Tikhonov, in an interview, stated that Ethereum needs to switch to Proof-of-Stake.
