Los Angeles-based real estate agency Caruso has entered into a partnership agreement with cryptocurrency exchange Gemini.which will allow accepting bitcoins in transactions with residential and commercial properties.
On top of that, the company has invested one percent of its treasury reserves in the largest cryptocurrency as a hedge against inflation.
Caruso's long list of tenants includes Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
The electric car maker sells its vehicles at Americana at Brand, a major shopping and entertainment center in Glendale.
Despite the fact that Caruso has neverdiscussed Bitcoin payments with an eccentric entrepreneur, it is believed that Musk may be the very first tenant to pay rent in cryptocurrency:
