Crypto.com has been licensed as a digital asset provider in Italy

The Crypto.com cryptocurrency platform has received approval from the Italian regulator OAM. The company will begin to provideresidents of the country services related to digital assets.

“We see the acquisition of the license as an important step forward for Crypto.com”, — said its CEO Chris Marszalek.

The press release states that the platform's customer base has reached 50 million users.

Previously, Crypto.com received approval for activity from the regulators of Greece, Singapore and Dubai.

Recall that in June Marszalek announced plans to lay off about 5% of the staff.

Prior to this, the company announced a significant reduction in CRO token staking rewards for prepaid cards.

The platform later revised its marketing spend after spending heavily on Super Bowl ads.

In March 2022, it became known that Crypto.com would sponsor the World Cup.
