Ava Labs has introduced the Core browser wallet for working with Web3 applications based on the Avalanche network. Partapplication has become a bridge with the bitcoin blockchain.
According to the press release, Core isnon-custodial wallet. The developers position the extension as an “operating system” that unites all decentralized applications based on Avalanche.
The application offers users a set ofnine core services, including the Avalanche Bridge cross-chain solution. The latter, unlike its web version, allows you to work with bitcoin, and not just with Ethereum.
The company said in a statement that the first cryptocurrency will be tokenized into a wrapped asset, BTC.b, on the Avalanche blockchain. This allows the asset to be used in DeFi ecosystem applications.
Recall that in April 2022, Bloomberg reported that Ava Labs opened a $350 million funding round at a $5.25 billion valuation.
