One of the residents of the capital of Belarus lost an impressive amount while trying to buy cryptocurrency - the alleged coin seller suddenly ran away with $21,000 in his hands.

The victim turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of Minsk, whom an acquaintance living abroad asked to buy cryptocurrency, transferred funds and gave the contacts of the seller of digital assets.

The deal was agreed upon near one of the houses onIndependence Avenue. A young man got into the Minsk resident’s car. After discussing the details, he began to count the money he had received, and then suddenly opened the car door and started to run. The victim was unable to catch up with him.

However, the Belarusian police promptlyidentified the criminal. He turned out to be a 26-year-old unemployed resident of the capital. They managed to confiscate $19,000 worth of currency from him, but he managed to spend the rest of the money.
