43% of cryptocurrency investors are women

A Grayscale Investments study says that the percentage of women interested in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies growing steadily.

Currently, approximately 43% of tradersconsidering bitcoin as an investment tool, they are women. The researchers came to this conclusion by interviewing 1,100 American investors aged 25 to 64 years.

The company conducted a survey in the United States on the following criteria:

  • age from 25 to 64 years;
  • ownership of investment assets of $ 10,000 or more;
  • annual family income of at least $ 50,000.

The survey was conducted from March 28 to April 32019, specified in the Grayscale report. All respondents invest in their savings. The size of their investment is at least $ 10,000.

The authors of the report emphasize that in the campBitcoin traders are still dominated by men. 93% of women participating in the survey said that they would change their attitude to BTC and other digital assets much faster if more information about the cryptosphere could be obtained on the market.

The study also notes that women see investment, primarily as one of the ways to ensure the financial security of their family, and not as a form of rapid accumulation of wealth.

Similar surveys are systematically conducted withthe purpose of clarifying the relationship of people to bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry as a whole. Chainalysis recently interviewed financial experts, 48% of whom said BTC would be the best asset in 2020.
