Ukraine is ready to adopt the draft law "On virtual assets"

Ukraine is ready to adopt the bill “On Virtual Assets”

On October 28, a committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at a parliamentary vote recommended supporting the bill"On virtual assets." As of October 29, 2020, the bill was submitted for consideration.

After studying and revising, the committee recommended to the deputies to accept the revised draft law as a basis.

According to preliminary estimates, in early November, the Verkhovna Rada may consider the bill in the first reading.

Prior to that, the bill was considered crude and sent for revision. It considers virtual assets as intangible goods.

Also in the document removed a significant part of the terminology.Separate definitions of "exchanges," "tokens" and "staplecoin" disappeared. The explanation for this is that the market is growing much faster than the regulatory framework, and there is noit makes sense to write in the bill technological definitions, which by the end of even this year will simply become obsolete.
