The popularity of bitcoin in the regions of Russia is higher than in Moscow and St. Petersburg

Russian Internet users living in the regions are much more interested in Bitcoin than theircompatriots from the capital. This is evidenced by data from the Google Trends service.

The largest number of searchesconnected with the largest cryptocurrency, over the past 12 months, residents of Chechnya and Dagestan have sent. The Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Irkutsk Oblast and Khakassia were among the five leaders in the rating.

Moscow and St. Petersburg occupy only the 20th and 23rd places, respectively.

After halving, interest in Bitcoin began to subside, which was reflected in a decrease in the search activity of Internet users.
