The giant quasar discovered by astronomers casts doubt on the modern theory of the development of the Universe

Astronomers have discovered a giant quasar with a mass equivalent to 1.5 billion suns, whose age exceeds 13 billion years.

Quasars are the brightest objects inUniverse, since they are formed as a result of powerful emissions of matter by supermassive black holes, actively absorbing the surrounding matter. These objects emit a huge amount of energy, eclipsing entire galaxies.

Recently, researchers at the University of Arizona reported the discovery of a quasar with the formal name J1007 2115, which is the largest and oldestamong all detected objects of this type. It is 1.5 billion times more massive than our Sun, and it took 13.02 billion years for light to reach the earth.

Astronomers claim that this monster formedonly 700 million years after the Big Bang, which violates the current models of the development of the Universe, according to which such massive black holes develop as a result of the gradual merger of many smaller ones. The team’s calculations showed that J1007 + 2115 was to begin its existence with a mass of 10,000 solar, only 100 million years after the Big Bang.

The problem is, according to modern theorymassive material objects could not appear earlier than 300-400 million years after the birth of the Universe, since before that the atoms were too far apart.

Recall that recently in a distant cluster of galaxies, researchers recorded the most powerful explosion since the birth of the Universe, the cause of which they still cannotexplain.
