Mikri Zhang blocks Bitmain ASIC miner shipments from Shenzhen factory

According to Chinese media, the suspended Bitmain CEO Micree Zhang is blockingsupplies of equipment from a factory in Shenzhen.

Micree Zhan is assumed to have takencontrol of the plant and ordered the termination of the supply of ASIC miners to Bitmain customers. The reason for such actions remains unknown, however, they significantly violate Bitmain's operations and undermine its reputation.

Last week with the help of private guard Zhangbroke into the Beijing office of a mining company, which was controlled by Bitmain co-founder Jihan Wu. Zhang sent letters to investors and Bitmain employees, claiming that he now runs the company's Chinese office. Therefore, there is every reason to believe that Zhang is now in full control of this unit.

However, on June 9, Jihan Wu assured employees thatthe situation is under control, and stated that all necessary steps have been taken to resolve this conflict in a legal manner. According to Wu, employees will receive compensation from Bitmain if they suffer from possible damage caused by Zhang’s actions. Jihan Wu urged employees to come together and defend the company together.

The fight for Bitmain between Zhang and Wu began withOctober last year, when Jihan Wang again took up the position of legal representative and executive director of the company during the absence of Zhang. In addition to litigation, the parties are trying to resolve the conflict by force. Last month, Bitmain CFO Liao Liu tried to take away the license of the legal representative of the Beijing branch of Bitmain from Zhang, after which Zhang “stormed” the company’s office in Beijing.

No matter how ridiculous this “seizure of territories" might look from the outside, the company's customers are the first to suffer from internal conflict, awaiting the receipt of Bitmain products already paid by them.
