A Fox Business reporter said that XRP cryptocurrency supporters hate everything related to Ethereum. The Ripple community does not agree with this conclusion.
Journalist Charles Gasparinopublished a tweet where he called the hatred of XRP enthusiasts for all things and people related to Ethereum absurd. According to Gasparino, every person he knows who has invested in ether wants Ripple to win its legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The outcome of the case will directly affect the regulation of the entire crypto industry, including the ETH coin.
Absurdity of the #XRPCommunity hatred for allthings and people associated w @ethereum can be found in the fact that every person I know associated w #ETH wants @Ripple to prevail over the @SECGov because what it will mean for crypto regulation and probably the #ETH coin

Gasparino's tweet received many responses fromby XRP community members who disagreed with his statement. One of them wrote that ether is present in the investment portfolio of many XRP owners, so it is unlikely that they would want the rate of the second cryptocurrency by market capitalization to collapse.
In recent weeks, the reporter has repeatedlyattacked XRP, defending ether. In early January, Gasparino denied claims from Ripple lawyers that former SEC Director Bill Hinman's controversial 2018 speech contradicted the agency's position on cryptocurrencies. Hinman previously said that ether cannot be considered a security. However, there were statements on the Internet by XRP supporters that these statements by Hinman were due to corrupt relationships with the creators of Ethereum. Gasparino called XRP followers conspiracy theorists. In response, Gasparino's followers wrote that XRP supporters may be unhappy with the actions of some Ethereum founders and SEC officials, but this has nothing to do with the coin itself.
In September, Ripple CEO BradBrad Garlinghouse criticized the regulator for changing its opinion on ether, which can be considered a security after switching to the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm. Garlinghouse said he has invested heavily in long Ether positions. By mentioning ETH in the lawsuit with the SEC, Ripple is only trying to achieve regulatory clarity regarding crypto assets, XRP owners are sure.
