The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) plans to hold a tax summit with the participation of cryptocurrency companies 3Martha.
Office invites cryptocurrency startups andtechnology enthusiasts to attend the summit to be held at the IRS headquarters in Washington. During the summit, four and a half hour panel discussions will be held, affecting technological updates, taxation problems of cryptocurrency companies and exchanges, as well as tax refunds and compliance with regulatory requirements.
“The participants in the discussions will share their viewswith spectators, including IRS employees from various departments, as well as representatives of other organizations and departments of the Ministry of Finance, ”representatives of the Tax Service note.
Blockchain Association Top Manager Christine Smith(Kristin Smith) expressed the hope that the agency will use the information received during the summit to develop the best regulatory documents. Recently, the U.S. Court of Auditors issued a statement that the Tax Department needs to supplement the guidance on taxation of cryptocurrency assets and make this process more transparent.
