French video game developer Ubisoft reportedon the launch of a beta version of its own NFT marketplace for the sale of in-game items. To accomplish this, the company has partnered with blockchain platform Tezos (XTZ), which uses the Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism.

On this platform it will be possible to purchase andsale of NFTs, called Digits: each of them will have a unique identification number visible to all players. And the ecosystem itself will be called Quartz.

The first game to appear Digits will beTom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The limited edition NFT became available on December 7th for residents of the USA, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Australia and Brazil. The luckiest players will be able to get Digits completely free of charge during the beta testing until the end of the year. It is currently not possible to use the site in Russia.

Ubisoft demonstrated the first NFT - gaminga helmet with a digital metal surface on which an individual identification number is placed, it will be displayed directly in the game. Players will not only be able to use items, but also trade them themselves without commission. Each gamer will be able to have only one item of each type, and information about the owners will be stored in the blockchain.
