The share of Russia in the total volume was about 2% or $ 30 million (almost 2.2 billion rubles at the time of writing).
The main reasons for the rise in fraudexperts point out the growing audience of cryptocurrency users and the desire to make money in the growing segment with reduced rates of regulators and volatility in the financial markets.
Experts predicted further growth of the indicator this year within 15%.
According to Kaspersky Lab, from July 2020 to July 2021, the volume of cyber ransomware and digital asset crimes worldwide amounted to at least $ 1 billion.
