The Most Qualified State Bank of Belarussi Belapusbank has made an announcement about the plan for the joint contract of the service for the exchangea cryptocurrency that will allow residents of Belarus and Russia to buy and sell cryptocurrency using Visa payment cards.
From November 13, 2020, clients of the credit institution holding Visa cards will be able to buy and sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
At the moment, users of the service canbe citizens of Belarus and the Russian Federation. In the near future, the bank plans to expand the geography of services so that citizens of other countries could make transactions with digital assets.
The press center of Belarusbank clarified thatyou can exchange BTC and other coins for Russian and Belarusian rubles, as well as for US dollars and euros... The list of available cryptocurrencies will gradually expand.
WhiteBird, a partner of Belarusbank, providesservices for the exchange of cryptocurrency for fiat money strictly within the framework of the Belarusian legislation (DecreeNo. 8 "On the Development of the Digital Economy").
The bank also noted that this company is currently the only legal operator of cryptocurrency transactions in the CIS zone, as well as in Ukraine and Georgia.In addition, WhiteBird is included in the list of residents of the Hi-Tech Park.
