Telegram continues to fight the SEC

Telegram challenged the court ruling restricting the release of Gram tokens on March 24.

On Monday districtA US court ruled against the companyTelegram to issue its tokens. The regulator once again won the legal battle against Telegram, depriving the company of the opportunity to fulfill its obligations to investors and launch the TON platform. 

SEC lawsuit against Telegram began inOctober last year. Since then, representatives of the commission have been able to prove that the sale of Gram tokens was part of a larger scheme to distribute Gram to the secondary public market. Thus, they were able to convince the court that the TON ICO was an unregistered sale of securities.

Many experts believe that Telegram has no chance in the fight against the department, but the company continues to fight for its project. 

Telegram – one of several companieswho were targeted by the SEC for alleged securities law violations. In June, the commission sued messaging app company Kik Interactive Inc. for allegedly violating U.S. securities laws.
