Senator Elizabeth Warren has called for an "anti-crypto army"

In his future election campaign, the senator plans to pay special attention to the problems of cryptocurrency companies and the formation of a broad coalition of opponents of crypto assets.

Elizabeth Warrenannounced the theses of her election campaign and, as a long-time opponent of cryptocurrencies, stated that the current turmoil in the digital asset market was the result of weak regulation and irresponsible activities of crypto companies. The U.S. upper house member believes her constituents will continue to lose money until multiple government agencies change their policies and protect investor safety.

Warren announced that if electedThe Senate will make every effort to create an “anti-cryptographic army” that will fight negative manifestations in the crypto industry and force regulators to tighten control over the industry and use the entire arsenal of tools at the disposal of officials.

Commenters on Senator Warren's Twitter postwere for the most part ruthless. Someone D.P. | Think Big said that "Senator Warren's deliberate anti-crypto narrative is not conducive to progress." A Josh Maxson announced that he sees in the theses only the position of a “corrupt banker” defending the interests of the current government. 

Last week, Warren and another colleague called
Accounting Oversight Boardpublic companies (PCAOB) to take immediate action to combat “sham audits” of cryptocurrency firms. Congressmen are confident that this not only misleads investors, but also damages the integrity of the audit system.

Elizabeth Warren previously reported
on the preparation of an expanded bill onregulating the cryptocurrency ecosystem and combating money laundering. It will affect the activities of virtual asset service providers (VASPs), cryptocurrency wallet operators, as well as miners and validators.
