Russian Prime Minister speaks about cryptocurrency regulation

The head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, Dmitry Medvedev, once again stated that to regulate relations inThe cryptocurrency industry needs to be as cautious as possible.

The Prime Minister has spoken about this many times before.For example, in September last year, Medvedev emphasized that if the state puts pressure on the cryptosphere, then this segment of the economy will simply stop developing in our country, and developers of applications and digital assets will move to other jurisdictions.

This week, the Prime Minister expressed the same point.view during a working meeting with the chairman of the board of Rosgeology Sergey Gorkov. The best option for regulating relations in the blockchain industry would be the adoption of a law on asset tokenization, the head of the Cabinet said.

He said:

“It would be nice to regulate the use of so-called tokens throughout the country.”

Gorkov supported the head of the government and expressed hope that the authorities will adopt a law on the cryptosphere in the near future, which will help attract investment, including in geological exploration in Russia.

Let us recall that at the end of last year inThe State Duma was told that it was impossible to introduce crypto regulation as quickly as possible. According to parliamentarian Anatoly Aksakov, legislators need additional time to understand the features of the digital industry.
