PayPal will add support not only for bitcoin, but also for CBDC

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman celebrated the recently announced cryptocurrency service duringdiscussing the company's third quarter financial results. He emphasized that the company intends to add more digital currencies in the future, writes The Block.

“This is just the beginning of the opportunities that we see. We are working with regulators to adopt new forms of digital currencies. ", - said Shulman.

He previously noted that the cryptocurrency service would encourage global use of virtual currencies and prepare customers for “central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and corporations.”

According to Shulman, the adoption of the CBDC "is a matter of when and how they will beimplemented, not if:"
