Paolo Ardoino: Tether did not invest in FTX or Alameda

Tether's CTO said the company behind the world's largest stablecoin, USDT, has no investments or assets associated with the FTX exchange or Alameda Research.

Paolo Ardoino with his statementresponded to a tweet by Chinese cryptocurrency journalist Colin Wu that Circle and Tether should disclose details of their financial relationships with FTX and Alameda.

“Tether has no investment in FTX or Alameda. Generally zero. Maybe you need to look somewhere else? Sorry guys,” wrote the CTO of the USDT issuing company.

Circle CEO Paolo Ardoino also previously tried to distance himself from the dying crypto exchange, saying that his company has no investment in FTX.

Now most of the major cryptocurrency companies are in a hurry to disown ties with FTX and its co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried. As the incident progressed, Bankman-Fried lost
94% of his capital and now owns only $994 million.
