The founder of the cryptocurrency bank Galaxy Digital, Michael Novogratz, suggested Telegram instead of launching the TON platformAdd support for bitcoin and stablecoins.
According to Novogratz's Twitter post, heskeptical about the Telegram cryptocurrency project and Gram tokens. Considering that the launch of the TON platform has been postponed until April next year, as well as lengthy legal proceedings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Novogratz believes that Telegram is better off abandoning this idea. The messenger does not need to launch a blockchain-based platform or cryptocurrency, since the community “does not need another digital asset or another blockchain.”
Entrepreneur suggested that the companyTelegram has turned its huge user base into cryptocurrency traders by introducing bitcoin and stable cryptocurrencies into its messenger. Novograts also recommended buying gold and bitcoin after Deutsche Bank introduced negative interest rates for deposits of more than 100,000 euros.
In early March, when Bitcoin started rapidlyfalling down along with other markets, Novograts lost confidence in the first cryptocurrency. However, already at the end of the month, he said that due to financial turmoil, 2020 will be “the year of Bitcoin.”
