JPMorgan: cryptocurrencies could ruin US economy

This warning came from bankers on May 22. The authors of the report write:

The risks are mainly associated with the hegemony of the US dollar. The issuance of an international reserve currency and means of international exchange carries enormous advantages.

And although analysts assume that in the near future the dollar will not losetheir status as a reserve currency, they pointed out the current shortcomings of the SWIFT system.In the event that countries manage to bypass SWIFT, it will significantly weakensanctions imposed by the United States. 

The authors of the report believe that the United States should issue its own digital currency. The Bank emphasized that “the digital currency will act as a stabilizer of international risks.”
