Institutional investors from the UK and France will be able to access Bitcoin (BTC) through Bitcoin ETP.launched by 21Shares. The Swiss organization announced that its exchange-traded product, which tracks the performance of the largest cryptocurrency, will be available on the Aquis Exchange.
Over the past couple of years, the company has launched many exchange-traded products, but the largest of them should see the light of day in the indicated countries.
According to a press release, the listing will be made possible through a partnership with renowned ETF liquidity provider GHCO.
As a result, Bitcoin-ETP (ABTC) will be launched onAquis Exchange. In the statement, the platform is described as "a pan-European MTF business based in London and Paris that offers trading in some of the largest and most liquid stocks in 15 European markets."
I wonder whatthe new ETP will be designed similarly to the ETF, which means it will be cleared centrally... Consequently, institutional investors in France and the UK will gain access to BTC "through the regulated structure they are already used to."

Bitcoin ETP is expected to debut this summer and will only be available to professional investors.
It is also argued that in the coming years, the organizations involved in this project are looking to expand the portfolio of available cryptographic ETPs.
If the Bitcoin ETP launch is successful, 21Sharesand Aquis Exchange will present exchange products tracking the performance of Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Polkadot (DOT), Cardano (ADA), Stellar (XLM) and Tezos (XTZ).
GHCO CEO Dan Izzo noted thatETPs are "a key point to invest in cryptoassets as they become an asset class in their own right." Moreover, the demand for these products is believed to only grow as they represent "reliable, readily available infrastructures with deep pools of liquidity, which we are happy to contribute."
