Iranian State Energy HoldingTavanir has demanded that miners suspend operations due to possible power shortages, the Financial Tribune reports. The country's authorities want to avoid the high load on the electrical networks in the winter. Tavanir believed that the suspension of miners' work would reduce the risk of emergency power outages in winter.

Representative of the Mostafa Energy HoldingRajabi Mashhadi said that work to shut down licensed cryptocurrency farms began a month ago. Thanks to this, the power plants were able to save fuel, which will be used in the winter.

From late May to October this year in Iranthere was a temporary ban on the operation of mining farms. The ban was introduced in connection with the peak season of the load on the electrical networks. Several major cities experienced power outages amid rising electricity consumption and droughts that were keeping hydroelectric plants under-operating.

A similar situation occurred in Kazakhstan, whereThe country's authorities have limited electricity consumption to miners to 100 megawatts (MW). The measures were introduced due to the power shortage, which was provoked by the massive influx of miners into the country.
