Crypto news. Digest #11. Binance Hacked $700M, BNB Chain Shut Down, Celsius Exposed Users

The BNB Chain network was stopped by all validators, afterhacker attack that occurred on the BSC Token Hub cross-chain bridge, which led to the “creation of additional BNB.” During the exploit, the attackers managed to steal 2 million BNB ($586 million).

The CEO of Binance also confirmed the incident, adding that user funds are safe.

The current address balance of the attacking BNB Chain hacker is 1.02 million BNB, 41.28 million vBNB, 28.81 million BUSD and 2.77 million USDT. Based on the current market price, the combined value exceeds $700 million.

Celsius published a 14,000 page document detailing each user's full name, a link to the timestamp, and the amount of each deposit/withdrawal/liquidation.
