Circle Launches EuroCoin Stablecoin on the Solana Blockchain

The euro-pegged stablecoin EUROC is set to launch on the blockchain of Ethereum's main competitor in 2023.

Marcus Boorstin, CTO of Circle, assures that the Solana ecosystem is interested in the implementation of EuroCoin. Chief Technology Officerassures that the stablecoin project on Solana will be supported by the FTX exchange, as well as the Radium and Solend DeFi protocols created on Solana.Boorstin argues that after the launch of the stablecoin on Solana, users will have many new use cases for EUROC.The cross-chain bridge is set to launch on Solana in the first half of 2023.Initially, it will support USDC transactions and a little later EuroCoin:

"We expect a wide range of cross-chain bridges, wallets, and decentralized applications of all types to beserve end-users and facilitate the seamless movement of USDC through the crypto ecosystem."

A spokesperson for Circle added that the cross-chain bridge should be launched on Ethereum and Avalanche in January 2023, and Solana will be supportedAdded a little later, in the first half of the year.

Recall that the Binance cryptocurrency exchange decided to streamline the list of illiquid stablecoins by converting them to BinanceUSD (BUSD) to improve the efficiency of user service.Among these tokens was USDC.
