Bitcoin Suisse launches precious metals trading for BTC and ETH

Swiss cryptocurrency company Bitcoin Suisse has launched gold, silver and platinum trading for fivefiat currencies, as well as the two main cryptocurrencies - BTC and ETH.

April 29, brokerage firm Bitcoin Suisse introducedprecious metals trading for Swiss francs, US dollars, British pounds, euros and Danish kroner. The company said that all precious metals available for trading on the platform are stored with a reliable banking partner.

A new feature is available for all traders -The minimum purchase amount for precious metals is 100 Swiss francs. For metals purchased for less than CHF 100,000, no storage fee will be charged.

Head of Trade and Liquidity ManagementBitcoin Suisse Stefan Lütolf noted that the company first went beyond cryptocurrencies. Such a proposal appeared in connection with the growing demand for scarce assets with high value - gold and bitcoin. Lutolf added that it is too early to equate bitcoin with gold, but the situation may change.

Last month the paxful platform alsoprovided the opportunity to buy and sell physical gold for bitcoins. In addition, in the third quarter of this year, Australian startup Meld Gold plans to launch a blockchain-based platform for trading tokenized gold.
