Bitcoin price renews all-time high above $ 33,000

Today, January 2, the bitcoin price broke a new all-time high at around $ 33,000.

Behindthe last day, the price of BTC has grown by more than 11%, setting a new record at $ 33,100. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading just above $ 32,700.

Top altcoins are also showing growth today, with ETH up more than 6% in the last 24 hours. The maximum was set above $780.  

Bitcoin's rise occurred against the backdrop of the US dollar falling to a new low in several years. Experts attribute this drop to the new round of stimulus adopted by the US government.  

In addition, the bull run is associated with increased institutional interest and the absence of strong selling pressure on top exchanges. 

Exchanges have liquidated more than $ 120 million in short positions on BTC in the last couple of hours alone, according to sites that track liquidations on trading floors.
