Bitcoin mining difficulty hits new record

Mining difficulty is recalculatedapproximately once every two weeks. Note that two weeks earlier the difficulty increased by 9.26%. The next difficulty recalculation should take place in 13 days. According to the forecast of the BTC.com service, in two weeks the figure will decrease by 1.5%.

Earlier, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy reported that electricity consumption by cryptocurrency miners in the United States reached 50 billion kWh per year.
