Binance exchange requires the return of DOGE credited to customers after the update

The latest update to the Dogecoin network has caused problems on the world's leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. Appearedreports that the company has asked some of its users to return coins that have allegedly been stuck for years and have just been transferred.

Meme Coin has updated 1.14.5 earlier this week, it was supposed to solve security problems, reduce transaction fees and improve overall performance. As expected, the move received the support of Dogecoin's most famous proponent, Elon Musk.

However, the update turned out to be problematicfor Binance, as the company reported that it had discovered a “minor issue with withdrawals from the DOGE network.” Due to this, the exchange has temporarily suspended withdrawals from the DOGE network and has also contacted the Dogecoin development team to resolve the issue.

Chinese journalist Colin Wu added thatsome transactions that failed many years ago have now gone through, respectively, users received, as it were, lost DOGE tokens in large quantities and at an increased price.

Wu added that Binance has contacted such clients to return the funds.
