“Large Russian companies are interested inissuing stablecoins. These are companies that are engaged in the extraction of raw materials, the supply of metals, including precious metals, to the domestic and foreign markets, ”the deputy stressed.
He added that the first information systems for issuing such stablecoins have already been created. Now they are starting to fill with content.
On July 22, the State Duma adopted the law “On digitalfinancial assets ". The document defined cryptocurrency and prohibited its use in Russia for goods and services. Criminal and administrative liability was removed from the law.
