$613 billion: Cryptocurrency market capitalization breaks new record

For the first time, the market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has crossed the $600 billion mark.

Data from CoinMarketCap.com show that at 11:30 the capitalization crossed the threshold of $600 billion, and showed a maximum of $603.3 billion. An hour later, this figure dropped slightly, but it managed to return to the highest level twice more.

At the time of publication of the article, the market capitalization was equal to $613.7 billion. Thus, in just a month, the market capitalization has doubled.

Among the top five cryptocurrencies, the largestgrowth showed bitcoin cash. The cryptocurrency was formed after the fork of the main bitcoin blockchain, and over the past couple of days has grown in price by 22%, and is now worth $2,250.

Additional evidence suggests that yesterday,During the trading session, which took place from 12:00 to 16:00 UTC, bitcoin cash increased by 16%. During the same session, the best growth rates were shown by the cryptocurrencies VeChain and Hshare &#8212; 31.88% and 28.15% respectively.

Of the 50 major digital currencies, only siacoin experienced a decline, which fell by 10.12%, the token of the startup Power Ledger &#8212; PWR, whose price fell by 8.64% during the session.
