Japan's financial regulator issued a statement indicating that the Bybit cryptocurrency exchange operates without registration.

According to the FSA, Bybit allows Japanese residents to trade derivatives even though they are not authorized. Deribit derivatives exchange, for example, blocks Japanese IP addresses.

FSA has not issued such statements for more than threeyears. In March 2018, the regulator warned Binance, which also operates without a license, to "gradually introduce restrictions on trading functions." However, Binance is still active in Japan.
