The TON Surf app has support for the main Free TON network

Blockchain project developersFree TON, based on the Telegram Open Network protocol, has released a fresh release of the TON Surf Beta 2.3 application with support for the main network.

Now users can switch between test and production networks.

The new release optimized the work with transactions, reduced the load on the processor, reduced access to the token sending screen by one step.

Notification bugs were fixed in Android, problems with the screen for entering a PIN code and shortcomings in the interface.

The TON Surf application is one of the user interfaces for working with the TON blockchain. It is part of the TON OS operating system.

Earlier, the Free TON team announced a competition for the title of Master of the Game for validators. The prize pool will amount to over 250 million TON Crystals - more than 5% of the total emission in the Free TON network.

In preparation for the competition, the developers increased the number of validators by several times, which critically affected the operation of the test network.

TON Labs technical director Dmitry Goroshevsky explained what happened with an unsuccessful experiment.

«This was done to launch a validator competition on one network. In real life, such a change in parameters would never be required,” he said in a comment to ForkLog.

As a result, the developers launched four separate networks for the competition, as well as restarted the test network. The incident did not affect the main network.
