Zcoin will rebrand to become Firo

On November 30, an innovative privacy-focused cryptocurrency project will be rebranded.

Singapore-based privacy coin Zcoin (XZC) has announced a switch to a new Firo (Fee-Roh) name and tickerXFR.The changes will take effect when they areMainnet binaries for Lelantus have been launched. 

Lelantus will allow:

 • Burn any amount of coins, redeem new ones that have no connection to the previous transaction history.

 • Obtain high guarantees of practical confidentiality.

 • Anonymize transactions with just one click, easily switching between regular transparent transactions and private ones in the new interface.

The team behind Zcoin has developed someof the most important blockchain privacy protocols in history. All of these cutting-edge technological innovations will be carried over to Firo. Zcoin was founded in 2016 and was the first to use the Zerocoin protocol, which has become one of the most used privacy protocols on the network. The Zcoin development team has improved Zerocoin with the Sigma protocol and is now opening up a new generation of privacy with Lelantus.

When Lelantus officially launches itsbinaries on the mainnet, Zcoin will move to the new Firo brand and move its website to www.firo.org. Lelantus will be activated on the mainnet in mid-January.
