YouTube will start automatically setting age limits for videos

YouTube will start automatically setting age limits for videos

YouTube will allow artificial intelligence systems to automatically age content with inappropriate content.

Algorithm Empowerment Initiativemachine learning will also make it harder for users to circumvent restrictions. Now, if a child wants to view a  prohibited video through a third-party website, Google will redirect them to YouTube, requiring them to log in to confirm they are of legal age. These measures will help ensure that certain content is available only toappropriate audience, regardless of its location.

That said, users who have uploaded the videos will be able to challenge the automatic restrictions, so the changes won't have a significant impact on content creators' earnings.

Google is taking such measures to increase accountability to parents and avoid new accusations of the streaming service in the illegal collection of data from children using the service.
