Xiaomi has developed a new smartphone design that allows wireless earbuds to be stored and charged at the top of the case.

A Chinese manufacturer outlined its concept intwo separate patent applications for the mobile phone and the headset, respectively. According to the description, the idea is to add two longitudinal holes in the body of the smartphone, designed specifically for a new type of wireless headphones.

In order to fit almost completely into the phone, their body will have the shapecylindrical rod with widerrotating speaker head. Their upper part will stick out a little so that the user can get the accessory without any problems. While inside the smartphone, the headphones will charge and also serve as speakers that can be pulled out and unfolded.

Although the patent does not provide detailed information on the functionality, it is likely that the headphones will be connected via Bluetooth and have built-in noise cancellation.

So far, the idea has only been outlined in a patent application.and it is unclear whether Xiaomi will release such a model at all, since this would require moving some internal elements or changing their structure. In addition, with prolonged use, users may encounter problems with the holes becoming clogged.

However, a smartphone with holes for headphones– This is far from the only non-standard development of the Chinese manufacturer. Last month, the company introduced a computer mouse with a voice assistant, and in September 2019 it announced the Mi Mix Alpha smartphone, the screen of which occupies 90.3% of the entire body.
