Worldcoin: More than 200,000 Chileans have been verified by World ID

The team of the Worldcoin crypto project said that more than 200,000 Chileans have already passed the World ID verification, which ismore than 1% of the total population of the country.

To meet the demand, the Tools for Humanity project team, which includesWorldcoin has opened offices in the cities of Viña del Mari and Concepción, in addition to the already existing offices in the country's capital, Santiago.Alex Blania, co-founder of the Worldcoin project and CEO of Tools for Humanity, spoke about the positive reaction of the residents of the country and the region to Worldcoin.

"People have a much better understanding of the fundamental principles of the crypto field.Chile is a technologically advanced country," he stated.

At the end of August, the Worldcoin project reported record demand for World ID in Argentina — 9,500 users completed the registration procedure in one day.

However, the project has faced hurdles from regulators in some countries due to concerns about data privacy.Recently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kenya reported that the US authorities prevented the top managers of the scandalous crypto project from leaving the country. 

At the end of August, the French Data Surveillance Service (CNIL) conducted inspections in the Paris office of the Worldcoin project.
